Neil Burtwistle (Deceased)
Sadly, we have to report that Neil, who founded the firm in 1980 died suddenly on 22nd June 2008. He was a larger than life character who is missed by clients and staff alike.

Stuart Strike - Audit and Accounts Manager
The Burtwistle Partnership has benefited from an early investment in Stuart, who has worked his way up through the practice and whose knowledge & experience are now valuable assets to both firm and clients.
Stuart represents a wide client base and in addition offers comprehensive start up advice to new businesses, guiding them on exploring the different trading methods and identifying the most practical and tax efficient. Stuart believes that it is vital that the client understands that he cares as much about the success of a business as they do and demonstrates this with each task he undertakes.
Isabelle Maker - Taxation Manager
Isabelle brings a wealth of expertise to clients on tax matters, with her background at the Inland Revenue and a number of years in private practice. Her positive approach always ensure tax planning is as painless as possible.
Isabelle's personal tax knowledge provides our clients with the comfort of knowing that their liability to tax is as low as possible and her organisation of the department ensures that the client is given as much time as possible to plan for each payment. Tax planning for the future as well as dealing with the day-to-day issues are fundamental to success in minimising liability and it is Isabelle who ensures that our practice remains focused on this.
David Thomas, MAAT - Audit and Accounts Manager, Harrogate
David heads up our Harrogate office as well as providing leading edge advice on Sage and installation. His personable manner swiftly puts clients at ease.
Another home grown success, David has come up through the practice to manage a client portfolio that includes corporate work and management accounts as well as Sole Traders and Partnerships. David places great importance on ensuring that our clients receive expert advice and remain one step ahead of their opponents in their respective markets.
Dawn Fieldhouse - PAYE Manager
Dawn manages the payroll department from our Harrogate office. She accommodates clients' payroll and CIS requirements, tailoring these to the specific needs of each business as well as ensuring compliance with current legislation. Dawn also provides telephone support on Sage Payroll matters to our clients.
